Following my operation on Friday 29th June 2012, I was discharged from Spire Hospital on Sunday 1st July 2012. It was fantastic to be out of the pain I had been suffering for a long time.

I spent 6 weeks at home recovering and then went back to work. My work is manual so I went back on light duties. It was fantastic; I did not expect to be able to return to work so quickly.

My only regret is that I did not have this surgery with Mr Maheson 3.5 years ago. I would have saved myself so much suffering. I would recommend this operation with Mr Maheson to anyone who is suffering, you will not regret it.

I can now play football with my son and walk the dog and have no need to take any painkillers.
