A friend informed me of the revolutionary procedure and recommended Mr Maheson and his team at the Spire Hospital, it's the best advice he could have given me!!
The first time I met Mr Maheson he exuded a quiet confidence and reassurance, clearly explaining the new anterior hip replacement procedure and the benefits it would bring.
Everything went as planned both during and after the operation. Operation at 8am, woken up at midday, sat up eating a meal at 1.30pm and up walking on crutches at 4pm – simply amazing! I cannot believe how in only a few weeks the new procedure has enabled an 'old' 48 year old become a 'young' 48 year old again!
After only 7 weeks I have been able to return to work with no pain, no discomfort and full mobility. I cannot recommend the anterior hip replacement procedure highly enough!
The support team at the Spire Hospital from the wonderful nursing staff and physios through to the fantastic anaesthetist Richard Hughes, are all extremely professional, yet at the same time friendly and personable, instantly putting the patient at ease.
Once again, I would like to thank Mr Maheson so much for what he and the new anterior approach hip replacement procedure have given me.
